About the series

Dear Dancer, 

With this first series of 166 NFTs, dance connects to the act of writing, punctuating it with new rhythm, energy and meaning. Taking a deeper dive into the Dear Dancer Manifesto, I interpret key words to create and inspire a new movement bringing language, performance, and reclaimed ownership to dance.

Sales of these NFTs will support the development of my project to build a new tools to move the dance community beyond its current limitations. I look forward to your participation in this journey!

FAQs

  • NFTs (non-fungible tokens) are unique digital tokens that exist on a blockchain and cannot be replicated. They can represent items like collectibles, digital artworks and virtual objects, and can be bought, sold, and traded. Buying an NFT from a project such as Dear Dancer is a way of supporting the company while becoming a part of its community.

  • Minting an NFT is publishing your token on the blockchain and into a digital wallet for the first time. Once an NFT is minted to your wallet, it will become visible on platforms such as OpenSea, where it can be viewed, traded and sold. The Manifesto Series NFTs will be minted randomly, so you don’t know which word you will get until you mint it.

  • As a sustainably-minded company, Dear Dancer’s NFTs are minted on Polygon’s (MATIC) proof of stake network, the leading blockchain development platform offering sustainable blockchains for Web3, with each transaction producing less than 5g CO2 - all of which is accounted for and offset by Polygon themselves.

  • Yes, credit card checkout is provided by Winter Corp. If you mint using a credit card you will have the option to mint to a temporary wallet provided by Winter Corp, and move the NFT to your own wallet at any time after the checkout.

  • While you can choose to mint a Dear Dancer NFT to a temporary wallet, you can also mint directly to a new or existing wallet. For instructions on how to open a wallet please follow these steps:

    
— Set up your MetaMask Wallet


    — Connect your MetaMask Wallet to the Polygon network


    — Create an OpenSea account and connect your Polygon MetaMask Wallet

    Note: Safari is currently not supported by the MetaMask extension. Please use Firefox or Chrome instead.

  • Once you minted your Dear Dancer NFT, you can connect your wallet to OpenSea to view it, and see the other NFTs in the series.

    Note: Minted NFTs may appear in the “Hidden” folder when they are first minted. If you don’t see your NFT in your collection, please find your Hidden folder and use the ‘…’ to unhide it.
